Ancient Calendar & Pagan Holidays: June 6: Thrace and Greece, Goddesses of Night

moongoddessmythslegends.jpgLet’s take a look at Thrace, because today, the Bendideia, was celebrated—honoring their Moon- Goddess, Bendis.

Interestingly enough, the Greek’s identified, Bendis, with their Goddess, Artemis, was also a Goddess of the Night and represented the hunt. Greece would hold a festival on the same day as Thrace.
