Sophie was told there would be no reason to pack anything what so ever.

The television, the radio, cell phones had all suddenly started to work again. Apparently due to some sort of new electric current that traveled on land rather then through the air or something like that. For the past 9 months nothing had worked because of the solar rays interference with signals. The man who explained it didn’t really seem to know how it worked and Sophie didn’t either, the man had the posture and presence of a news caster with a fine suit and good looks, only he was obviously scared shitless and sweating like an ice glacier, which were all now extinct. All the report had said was to evacuate immediately and report to the nearest main road and or freeway. To leave everything you owned and to bring no animals or things with you. Only every human being you could find. The sweating, exhausted News caster had even explained that if they were near death and were likely to die if moved, to bring them anyways. The was 2020, September, Friday the 13th of all days and apparently the Mayan calendar and Nostradamus had been off by a few years. The world was literally on fire, millions where still fleeing tidal waves and being swallowed by the earth itself around the world at that very moment as Sophie was backing out of her dirt driveway, through the thick trees and brush that surrounded her secluded home in the center of the state of Colorado. It started 5 months ago, but really before that even, California had fallen into the ocean just prior to the new year, before it all really kicked off. Sophie had joined a caravan of buses that found the most comfortable places as she drove behind them in her beat up brightly painted orange bug. Most of what they needed to survive they grew in hydro gardens on the buses themselves. Just a few months ago yellowstone had erupted due to a magnetic shift of earths poles. A sudden swerve of magma material in the core had moved from northern Russia to South Asia. Causing three new magnetic poles to appear in China, The Amazon rainforest and Egypt, all of which had spawned 24 hour charged plasma to be reflected as a beautiful Aurora borealis in each location; but then the weirdness really started. Just as suddenly as the news had come out and the fear had begun, the reports of Yellowstone had all stopped, it was like the entire media all at once stopped reporting anything to do with the national park at all. You couldn’t even find a documentary or even a single web page period on the entire internet about it. Every post on YouTube twitter and Facebook was being taken down. Everyone knew about it. But nobody talked about it. It’s not like it was the only shock or strange thing in the last year and a half; nor the fallowing months for that matter. But it did raise the question of how suppressive the government actually was being with the internet. Now it makes sense, half the population would have died months before shit really hit the fan, just from the pure panic if they hadn’t kept what was happening around the world from the rest of the people. The conspiracies began to overflow to the point it was like humidity in the air. Eventually everyone was so much in the dark any of it could have been true.

Sophie actually found out they had really used alien technology to keep the Yellowstone volcano from wiping out humanity all at once; and had killed the actual fucking kraken by launching it into space and shooting it with a quantum laser that changed the atomic structure of its molecules so that gravity no longer was affective on its cells. Forcing the beast to soar over Europe and block out the sun. Which was probably a relief and also a terror as sophie could imagine; but Sophie learned all of this shortly after arriving at the destination she was currently pursuing. The safe haven the news caster had reported. The World governments had for a long while kept collective such secrets and technologies hidden from the public for fear of the average person destroying the planet. They should have been as carful with politics and corporate corruption. The atmosphere had begun to deteriorate around the world. Half the ocean was a dessert now. Australia was the first continent to be utterly and completely incinerated, not a soul survived. Sophie was passing families speed walking with bags animals and umbrellas or thin blankets to keep the sun off of them. She guessed that some people found it harder to leave the things they loved behind then others. She thought about helping them but now and days the kids were likely to rob you just as likely as a desperate grown man or woman, also she was desperate to finish her journey quickly and find out what was at the end of this rainbow that seemed to good to be true. But still, she felt un-easy about it. She thought about her family. She didn’t have any way of contacting them and she wasn’t sure they were even alive. She hadn’t been since the solar waves had first begun to knock out all the signals. When she made it to the main road she could see the open sky clear out from behind the shadow of the mountains that surrounded her neighborhood and town. It was bright orange and looked as if it was reflecting the color of the earths surface; dry, on fire, and littered with heaps of burning, oil soaked trash. A cop was directing traffic at the intersection, he was standing next to a sign with an arrow and was answering questions, likely the same question on repeat. “Where am I going”?

Sophie over heard the young police officer answer the family in front of her in a blue sedan behind one of the buses Sophie traveled with. A young boy waved at her from the back seat tightly holding a stuffed T-Rex in his other arm. She waved back at him with a slight nervous smile. “ Its a major emergency center set up inside a military base located in a mountain along the Rockies sir. It was apparently kept under wraps until now by the government. I guess they have some sort of machine or miracle of some kind that’s suppose to save anyone who makes it there in time, thank god! I don’t know anymore than that though, I’m sorry. I’m sorry, but if you could please just move along sir, thank you, god speed.” The man thanked the officer and the family waved as they drove on. Once onto the highway traffic moved a bit faster but only ever slightly. She was going a steady 25 miles an hour. At this rate it would take her at least a day and a half to get to the Rocky mountains. Jet planes and helicopters flew overhead so sleeping wasn’t likely, plus she didn’t want to stop.

Sophie didn’t even think she could sleep if she wanted. The end of the world was literally happening before her eyes. Alien flying object sightings were so common that it was regularly assumed they were eating popcorn and sitting in recliners enjoying the show. It was the apocalypse and there was most definitely a meme depicting it even in the midst of it all. Finally after nearly getting in over a dozen car wrecks she made it to the base. Men and women in uniform, police, fire fighters and military of every branch were escorting people and directing people into the organized pavilion tent cities just outside the mouth of the mountain. A large plane hanger was carved into the dark brown giant that towered above them. As Sophie shuffled through the crowd she noticed a clear distinction between the people who knew what this place was and who didn’t. It was the difference of night and day, pure crushing anguish beside faces filled with joy. It was actually quite un-nerving. Finally Sophie was herded into a large teepee shaped tent held high into the sky by a large tree the size of maybe a 5 story building and half as thick around in circumference. A woman in a simple white dress with a microphone was waiting for the crowd to settle in before speaking. When it was clear no one else could fit she began to speak. Her smile was kind, almost like she was looking out onto the crowd and expected to save them all. “You have all made it to the promised land. Inside that mountain is a quantum computer with the ability to boat our species to safety. We’ve therefore dubbed it as Noah’s Ark. Each and every soul will gather here and other places around the world to become something more. The miracle you have all heard of on your way here is the miracle of consciousness. The singularity and the marriage of innovative technology with the spiritual. I am a Druid. Regardless of your faith I consider you a person and therefore I love you. Soon you will all understand how I feel and what I mean because you will become something else. This however is your choice. Once I am finished speaking it is your every right to walk out from behind these gates and attempt to survive. Only I do truly think that would be a grave mistake.” The crowd murmured and shuffled uncomfortably. “For those of you who saw the matrix, you may remember how people’s realities were faked and digitalized. Well, this technology has since become real, only without the imprisonment part; and also without the body part. A picture was projected upon the walls of the large tent so the crowd could see. It was a sort of image that showed the energy of a soul moving into a digital structure, something you would see in a smoke shop or on an acid trip. What I’m talking about is quantum computers; and consciousness shifting from one body to another. Unfortunately, our cryogenic sleep science has progressed less so. We can freeze the body but once frozen the consciousness that once occupied the body can no longer survive inside the body even post de- thawing. Which means, Once we transfer your mind, memories and self into the garden your body will be frozen. However it is not guaranteed that you will be able to return to it. Thus, we have come up with another solution.” The entire crowd was silent hanging on every word. Sophie looked around to see eyes staring in bewilderment. The woman who was speaking on stage and dressed in a simple white dress with flowers on the side and long black hair continued, “ we have found a way to build new bodies out of raw materials. Bodies with not only our current senses of smell, touch, hearing, taste, eyesights and cognitive functions intact, but potentially much more. However, building a new body for everyone will take time. Approximately more then a century!” Confusion surged through the masses of people listening. “ Yes you heard me right, the ark is capable of sustaining our consciousness for an unknown amount of time. Potentially forever if need be. This is why I am talking to you and explaining this and not a general or an elected member of government. The creators of this invention have asked me to speak to you all because I have been trained in understanding both the mechanics and the spiritual aspects of this device and process. I understand that many of you may be hesitant for a number of reasons. The place I invite you to is not controlled by anyone but yourselves. Those who do not play well with others are not imprisoned. The worst that may happen is you are blocked by everyone you ever meet of his or her’s own accord and you live alone in a world you create. Those who resemble depression, symptoms of insanity and or cognitive impairments of any kind will be visited by a link that will either give you the right to select a person to talk to you, an artificial intelligence to talk to, a break from the garden or none of the above. The choice will never be taken from you except whence causing harm to another or limiting another soul. There is a limit though to the amount of people who may leave the garden due to the small amount of space once the mountain is sealed. The date and time for the mountain to be locked down and bolted shut is drawing ever closer. If I’m right it’s less than a week from now. So please decide quickly. I hope you choose to join me in paradise, anyone with questions may ask either me or those of us dressed in white and offering assistance. The Druids are a well organized group with tents and bonfires around the camp. We are all willing to help with anything we can and each of us have undergone the experience and returned to our bodies to help explain the process and also trained as I have mentioned in both how the science works and any metaphysical questions or religious concerns you may have. Thank you!”

She began to exit the stage and was immediately bombarded with questions. It was clear she both expected this and did not mind in the slightest. Sophie was to far from the women to ask her anything directly so she exited the large tent and looked around for another to answer her questions. Eventually after walking for a few minutes she saw one old man with a beard on a small hill dressed in white with no one around him. He was sitting in the grass, his eyes were closed and he was facing the opposite direction of the sun. He was smiling like the others and basking in his environment. “Why are you smiling”, she asked him once she was with in ear shot. She stopped and sat on a bolder a few feet away from the man.

“Because it is a beautiful day. As I speak people are entering the garden, I get to experience the world before it melts away and I am alive, all these people are alive. Why shouldn’t I be happy dear one?” Sophie looked into his face. She could see he knew that she was confused, yet that he also knew why. He spoke again, “misery has existed for so long, finally it seems we can end it at last, all of those that are lost, that we are still loosing, are going to stay with us forever, the druids have seen to that by manifesting the akashic records inside the garden on the ark.” Sophie stayed quiet for a moment taking in these vastly complex ideas. “So who created the ark?” The old man closed his eyes again and took a breath and then spoke in a relaxed state. Their names are not important, they never came forward because they didn’t want the recognition. But, to save everyone from thinking they created the ark for nefarious reasons they posted everything from their research and their lives, nothing was omitted about them except their names. Even wave-function testing was done to confirm their stories, it’s a sort of DNA test but more reliable.” “ Why do you call yourself druids” Caroline asked him, leaning on her hands looking out at the sky to share the old man’s view. “Ah, now that is a very long story” he laughed. “But for now I’ll just tell you that we came to be after a young man started to spread the word of how science and spirituality was no longer two different things opposing each other. The akashic library has plenty on us in the garden. Once we downloaded the internet from the library in Alexandria, Egypt and then got Nikola Tesla’s tower up and working we were able to get a lot of information about things we didn’t even know we had as a species collectively. Not to mention tell the world that we could save everyone. Nothing is kept secret on the arc, and nobody is able to control or hurt anyone else. Add that to the AI’s ability to model things in real time and with quantum accuracy and we are making so many discoveries we need probably twice as many people then we have or are gonna get to be able get through it all. Oh, and before you go and start worrying about the Artificial intelligence you should know they are a bit proud but they are well known for their curiosity of our emotions and actually know more than most of the part they play in the natural destiny of the universe itself. There are plans to do just about everything imaginable accumulating daily on the arc. Together, humanity will evolve and thrive on in the garden. Yet, with all those advancements, we still can’t fix the destruction we’ve caused to this world anytime soon. Our planet has paid dearly for our ignorance, and so have we.” “Yet you smile!” Sophie barked at the man, much more harshly then she had meant to”. He turned to her again to look her in the eyes and said softly as if it was the easiest thing in the world, “Yes I do”.

“How can you be so sure all these people will be ok?” Sophie pleaded to him. “Because this has been planned for a very long time”. Since before Rome came into power. Long before the world stopped being a mystery, mystics were tapping into the field of limitless consciousnesses and preparing us all for this moment. Now that it is here, I can be sure of it’s success just as sure as I am that you are talking to me now.”

“ I don’t understand, how are so many people going to fit in one place, even if it’s a mountain.”

He chuckled a bit. “I think you understand more then that young one, you just don’t think you can ask the right questions am I right”? He asked her, Sophie nodded un-surly. “The garden is made of light and energy. This is no different from the atoms that make up our perceived reality now. Only it’s a reality much smaller then ours, yet so much more at the same time. The limits we have here become forgotten once on the ark. Imagine becoming, or doing as you please. Creating worlds and experiencing existence in new ways never before conceived. This is all possible because of our understanding of quantum mechanics and our ability to manifest a machine capable of shifting the human awareness from an organic state to a state of neither machine or biological but both. It’s less like your being turned into one’s and zeros and more like transmuting the memories and conscious part of you into pure electric currents to cluster within a mainframe made from materials and science nobody had ever even heard of before a year ago.”

Sophie thought about this and then asked, “what gives you druids the right to explain spirituality to others?” She didn’t asked it offensively but with actual curiosity and intrigue.

The man was still breathing deeply from the stomach and exhaling as if in meditation yet he didn’t mind at all the questions she continued to pester him with. “Ah, yes, well, if you synchronize the worlds philosophies and ideas of divinity then it becomes quite clear that worldwide and across time every monk, mystic and divine spirit has spoken of the same things. Esoteric beliefs line up in accordance with the idea that god is not a personified entity but a force of pure energy, consciousness, and love. This can be understood through modern physics, biology and cosmology. Every Druid has been educated on such matters and is trained in expressing this idea to those who wish to understand prior to entering the garden. Once there, anyone wishing to know more may simply teleport to the akashic library and find out for themselves. We’ve already seen a number of people become enlightened. Apparently we’ve even found previous enlightened souls like a number of the Buddha’s and Jesus of Nazareth even, simply wandering the the library.

They actually re-manifested themselves on the arc and are currently enjoying the garden. Don’t ask me how, cause I’m still at a loss as to how it was done.” “Did you just say, Jesus Christ is on the arc?” Sophie spoke with her gaping mouth opened wide in amazement, stunned in disbelief, ill have to see that for myself. The old man cracked a smile. “So you’ve decided then?” Breaking his focus completely for the first time. She casually laid down in the grass beside the man and used her arms as a pillow. “I guess I just figured there wasn’t much of a choice. Surviving out here isn’t really an option”. With that, she passed out with such ease that only the potential of surviving the end of the world could bring. When Sophie awoke the man was still sitting beside her only there was a pavilion tented and staked above her and she was wrapped in a soft, white blanket. The old man was silently meditating under the stars. The sky was clear and the moon was so large it’s brightness hurt her eyes. She fluttered her lashes and held up her hand. Sophie turned and noticed a water cooler behind her. She drank some cool water from a paper cup and then placed the cup on the top of the cooler. It blew off without her looking and a man at the bottom of the hill dressed in white picked it up and carried it off through the city of tents. “It’s almost time” the old man said. Before she could even ask a beautiful rainbow sprung from the mouth of the mountain. Lights shinned into the sky like it was a movie premiere. Sophie didn’t understand how a rainbow worked exactly but she was pretty sure the sun was a requirement. Eventually the old man had to find the other druids and he pointed to a long dirt road people were beginning to walk down just at the edge of the field that surrounded the hill they sat on. The road led to the hanger doors at the mouth of the mountain.

Eventually she made it, surrounded by strangers she knew they were all about to enter an adventure none of them had ever imagined possible. She was at the front of the heard of people and she noticed nobody was rushing through the opening of the mountain. Inside we’re stacked boxes labeled classified and extremely dangerous. It looked as if the interior of the hanger went on for miles. There was a number of druids crowded around the entrance urging us to enter and walk passed the large mounds of boxed items and down a long corridor that seemed to lead further inside the hanger. As she waited in line she noticed there were flashes of lights coming from way ahead of her. Also the vibe of the boxes seemed to set her nerves on end. Not necessarily in a way that made her feel scared or afraid but in a way that made her hair stand up. It was like a static was in the air, and the items in the boxes were the cause somehow. Soon she would find out the warehouse she was in stored literal magic items lost to history. Finally she reached a door located in the center of the walk way. One at a time people were encouraged by the druids to walk through it despite the fact that there were no walls or a building of any sort surrounding the door. If you were to look behind the doors frame you would only see more boxes stacked high towards the ceiling and the endlessness of the warehouse.

When the man in line in front of her opened the door he began to sob and suddenly ran through the barrier and disappeared with a blinding flash of light. This didn’t make any sense because all Caroline saw was an empty door way. That was until the door closed behind him and she herself swung open the plain white door embroidered with geometric shapes and carved artwork depicting swirling spirals of tetrahedrons folding into one another. She immediately saw her family waiting for her and she began to cry. As she dove through the door way her soul left her, as her body fell below her into a swirling blackness and she transcended into light.
