Hereford Wassail 2011

UPDATE !!!

While trying to phone round and check these dates BT decided to put in new poles at the end of our lane … I’ve just got reconnected. To add to the fun, my mobile crashed and had to be completely reset … I hope to have all your  numbers back in an hour or 3 :-).

Anyway … here’s the latest on where wassailing is going on over the next couple of weeks. Hope to see you at one or more of them.

Thursday 6th January (Twelfth Night)
Leominster Morris. 7pm at The Bell, Tillington.

Saturday 8th January
Silurian Border Morris at The Slip Inn, Much Marcle. A torchlight procession to wassail a nearby orchard, then return to the Slip Inn for dancing and pig roast.

Saturday 8th January at Broome Farm, Ross-on-Wye

Saturday 15th January at 6:30pm
The Colwall Orchard Group, The Yew Tree Inn (Colwell Green) to Cummins Orchard, departing 6:30pm returning to the inn for refreshment.

Monday 17 January (old Twelth Night)
Foxwhelp Morris at The Yew Tree, Preston On Wye. Torchlight procession, at 6:30pm, to wassail a nearby orchard. Return to Yew Tree for folk music & possibly dancing.

    I have just found this ite by accident and it looks great.

    Here in East Yorkshire we have a thriving pagan community. This Sunday 9th January Pickering Road Community Orchard will be hosting our 4th Wassail at 2 p.m.

      yes there is an online forum for the Hull Pagans. Then for Pickering Road Orchard I just use my Facebook site. I am not sure if you know an author named Philip Hesleton but he is one of our group. Philip is the world authority on Gerald Gardner and has written various books about him. I will tell others about your site.
