you say this…I say that

I’m going to quote passages from the bible. The book of Samuel. I’m buzzing over this blog! This link truly upset me, but instead of getting mad… I’m getting even, sort of.

Samuel 15

The passage talks about Samuel being sent by the Lord to anoint Saul king. Now here’s the kicker, The side above uses this passage to cut down, humiliate, smash into smithereens, and blaspheme, all wiccan/pagan people. They only use four words from verse 23 to make their point. “…the sin of witchcraft…”

Now how does one go about being made king straight to sinning by practicing witchcraft? Places like this really do tick me off because of one question that dates back centuries, “What in pray tell have we done to them to deserve such penance?” Nothing. It was the Roman Catholic Church that hunted our ancestors down, women and children, in God’s name and murdered them in cold blood. To me this sounds like “men’s will” not “God’s will”.

Forgive me for rambling, now back to the issue at hand.

What their meaning, in this particular passage, of  “witchcraft” is:

stubborness, rebellion, sacrificing the blood of animals, Slaying others and stealing their goods

Begin quote: Verse 23 says, ” For rebellion is as the sin of witch craft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.” end quote.

After reading this, I have to say someone should have done their research before stating verses from a book instead of taking something out of context to prove a point. I find that this is part of the problem when communicating with each other. Most Christians quote from the “bible” but a lot take certain words or phrases out of the context to prove they’re right and everyone else is wrong. Just like some pagans and wiccans practice the craft using magic for all the wrong ways and reasons. What we all need to do, in my opinion, is remember the one most important thing that God teaches,” judge and thou wilst be judged”. There’s nothing more plainer than that. I wish we could all find a way to unite under one, heart to heart…

  2. Well said Angel, taking words out of their original context is a type of “trickery”. A slight of hand to make a point that has no substance other than to manipulate the facts. Such behavior is that of a magician who claims, “now you see it…now you don’t” as they slink away into the dark corner from whence they came.

    IMHO

~Though shalt not suffer a trickster, who distorts the truth for personal gain or recognition~

  3. You know the bad part of it is the fact they taught someone else how to do it. So when the someone else grows up, they’ll do it and teach someone too. It’s a never ending cycle. I’m about tempted to start my own let’s come out party! lol
